Philosophy

Webster’s Dictionary defines “alliance” as a “close association.” Maverest Dental Alliance is committed to establishing a close association with dentists in a mutually beneficial venture, a venture which provides quality dental services to Maverest's members and consistently profitable business to Maverest's participating dentists.

Maverest Dental Alliance is a preferred provider dental network owned and managed by a partnership of health care consultants and dentists. Our new generation of dental network emphasizes balance between participating dental professionals and network clients/members. Maverest Dental Alliance is not an insurance company, claim administrator, or HMO. Network members receive dental care services from Maverest's participating dentists based on network access contracts which have been executed by our group clients (insurance companies, third party claim administrators, self-funded employers, ERISA trusts, union welfare plans). Maverest Dental Alliance provides network access and our group clients are responsible for all administration and payment of dental claims.

Maverest Dental Alliance’s philosophy differs in that we believe the long-term strength, and the quality of the network is built on the commitment and satisfaction of our participating dentists. Commitment and satisfaction is achieved by negotiating adequate reimbursement agreements (Maverest Dentist's Fee Schedule) and by continuing to adjust those fee schedules annually as dentists’ fixed costs escalate. We also make every effort to provide our participating dentists additional assistance whenever possible, such as access to financial and practice management tools at little or no cost.

As part of our commitment to balance and to a dentist-friendly design, we believe that a larger, more accessible network – created through higher reimbursement to participating dentists – works significantly better for patients, dentists, employers and insurance companies (the organizations that ultimately pay most of the cost). Higher fee schedules typically result in larger and more comprehensive networks. With larger networks members have better access to Maverest Dental Alliance's dentists and greater member satisfaction. Better access to our dentists results in higher utilization of these dentists by members. Higher utilization results in greater overall savings for both patient and sponsoring employer while maintaining reimbursement to participating dentists at profitable levels.
